Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: FALLING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Sagfety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards: (a) Establishment: On or about February 1, 1994 at the Cape Ann Market, High Street, Ipswich, MA., an employee was exposed to a serious fall hazard while working from a non-guarded roof's edge throwing debris. Among other methods of abating this condition would be to wear safety belts attached a lanyard and a life line.
