29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: a) Production area next to fryer lines two and three: The employer did not ensure that goggles and face shields were provided and required for use where employees used DCT Heavy Duty Degreaser, a corrosive chemical, to clean the fryers, on or about 10/5/15. b) Back washroom: The employer did not ensure that goggles and face shields were provided and required for use where employees poured DCT Heavy Duty Degreaser, a corrosive chemical, into buckets and trash cans to clean the floors, on or about 10/5/15. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
