Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that: employees were exposed to a potential explosion hazard due to improper storage of the incompatible chemicals of an organo peroxide and gelcoat. These products were observed on or about 10-1-98 being stored adjacent to each other inside a storage room. Employees exposed to risk of chemical burns and/or smoke inhalation in that separate storage areas or a substitution of chemicals had not been established. Among other methods, a feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this is: (1) Providing separate storage areas for the organic peroxide and gel coat; "ABATEMENT VERIFICATION REQUIRED"ION
