29 CFR 1926.651(j)(2): Protection was not provided by placing and keeping excavated or other materials or equipment at least 2 feet (.61m) from the edge of excavations, or by the use of retaining devices that were sufficient to prevent materials or equipment from falling or rolling into excavations, or by a combination of both if necessary: a) 516 Main Street, Blandon, PA; Employees were installing a 3/4 inch water line while working in a 5 feet 8 inch deep excavation without the excavated material being placed at least 2 feet from the edge of the excavation, on or about 09/15/2015. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
