29 CFR 1915.77(c): Employees did not use a scaffold or a sloping ladder to afford safe footing and were not protected by safety belts and lifelines while working aloft at elevations more than 5 feet above a solid surface: (a)East Bank, Wet Dock #4 - Employees preparing to unload a "Translation Strongback Jig", climbed the frame of the jig without fall protection, exposing themselves to falls of approximately 9', to the asphalt pavement. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to develop, communicate, and enforce a Job Safety Practice for the loading and unloading of Translation Strongback Jigs.gback
