Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by a guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, or an alternative fall protection measure: a) The employer does not require employees to use a fall protection system while performing stucco preparation operations from a residential roof. This violation was most recently observed at the property 2234 Bainbridge St, Philadelphia, PA on June 15, 2015, where employees performing stucco preparation operations from the roof of a residential building were exposed to fall hazards of approximately twenty (20) feet without the use of a fall protection system. To abate this ongoing violation, the employer must provide and require the use of a fall protection system while employees are working from heights of six feet or greater.
