Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The %% employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to motor vehicles with safety defects: (a)Establishment - 1969 GMC semi-truck (Vehicle Identification # J190A-D085479 Idaho Vehicle License # LTD JA 678) hose connection from the truck to the trailer had an air leak (Reference 49 CFR 396.3(a)(1)). (b)Establishment - 1969 GMC semi-truck (Vehicle Identification # J190A-D085479 Idaho Vehicle License # LTD JA 678) front left driver (axle # 1) hose was cracked (Reference 49 CFR 396.3(a)(1)). (c)Establishment - 1969 GMC semi-truck (Vehicle Identification # J190A-D085479 Idaho Vehicle License # LTD JA 678) rear left driver (axle # 2) the bolts and nuts for the brake chamber support bracket were loose (Reference 49 CFR 393.48(a)). (d)Establishment - 1969 GMC semi-truck (Vehicle Identification # J190A-D085479 Idaho Vehicle License # LTD JA 678) rear right driver (axle # 2) the bolts and nuts for the brake chamber support bracket were loose (Reference 49 CFR 393.48(a)). (e)Establishment - 1969 GMC semi-truck (Vehicle Identification # J190A-D085479 Idaho Vehicle License # LTD JA 678) rear right driver (axle # 2) the brake was adjusted to 2 1/8" (Reference 49 CFR 396.3(a)(1)). NOTE: Maximum stroke at which brakes must be readjusted for a type 30 brake chamber is 2". (f)Establishment - 1969 GMC 3 axle truck with self unloader bed (Vehicle Identification # JM70V-D029350 - Idaho Vehicle License # 2/C 2509T) the hydraulic fluid reservoir was approximately 1 1/4" low.
