Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being crushed or caught between a Meyer Snow Plow and a Chevy K-5 Blazer: a)While preparing a Chevy Blazer and a Meyer Snow Plow for snow removal employee out of sight of the vehicles driver were not protected protection against unexpected movement of the vehicle. One feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to have only one person install attachments, or the vehicle is never left running or in gear while any employee is in the hazard zone.
