OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards: a. On or about May 14, 2015, on a semi-truck trailer, at the Concrete Impressions of Florida, Inc., Interstate I-295 southbound sound barrier wall construction site, a strap which secured a 15,000 pound concrete sound wall panel to the trailer was removed by an employee before the stability of the load was assured, which resulted in the panel falling from the trailer and fatally crushing the employee.
