P.L.91-596 Section 5(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of emplyment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of falling: a.) Roof/Exterior Department - An employee was standing on the top platform of a fourfoot fiberglas stepladder to install windows, on or about 8/9/94. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to require employees to use the appropriate size ladder for the height necessary to work.
