P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of %% 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of getting thrown from mobile equipment: (a)North Side of the Composite Line Department 7513- The driver of the Number 9 model GLC150SBV096 YALE forklift truck (serial number 444448) was not using the seat belts that were installed on the equipment, on or about 7/6/94. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct his hazard is to enforce the use of seatbelts on all equipment that has seatbelts installed to comply with a particular standard.
