29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment are not used when machines or operations present potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents: a. The employer fails to assure effective protection against eye and face injuries as required by the standard, as demonstrated on March 4, 2015, when employees are working on a residential roof at 12357 Boston Harbor Drive, Jacksonville Florida 32225 without eye protection while using pneumatic nail guns and were exposed to eye injuries from flying debris or nails. Jasper Contractors, Inc., previously committed a serious violation of this standard on September 11, 2012, with respect to a workplace at 2927 Newbury Court, Highlands Ranch, CO, which became a final order on November 28, 2012 (Inspection No. 626158). Jasper Contractors, Inc., previously committed a serious violation of this standard on July 25, 2012, with respect to a workplace at, 10775 Glengate Loop, Littleton, CO, which became a final order on November 28, 2012 (Inspection No. 546338).
