Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized struck-by hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees: This violation was observed on or about January 20, 2015; where employees were exposed to struck-by hazards while operating a forklift truck without a safety belt. a) At least one (1) employee was operating a Komatsu, FG45T2-7 forklift truck without wearing a safety belt. b) At least one (1) employee was operating a Caterpillar, C5000 forklift truck without wearing a safety belt.
