29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries: a/ On or about 1/13/2015, ground floor, west building, west dock area, C-16, fire alarm was blocked by all purpose mail containers (APMC). b/ On or about 1/13/2015, ground floor, west building, east wall of west dock W1, a fire extinguisher was blocked by a pallet of corrosive batteries. c/ On or about 1/13/2015, ground floor, west building, west dock door vestibule 11, a fire extinguisher was blocked by a trash can and a chair on its side. d/ On or about 1/13/2015, ground floor, west building, Column L3, a fire hose cabinet with fire extinguisher was blocked by orange tonkas. e/ On or about 1/13/2015, ground floor, east building, between dock doors 29B and 30, a fire extinguisher was blocked by orange and black plastic pallets. f/ On or about 1/14/2015, ground floor, west building, between west dock door 13 and freight elevator 11, a fire alarm was blocked.by cardboard boxes. The United States Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 904875, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 6, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 1720 Market St., St. Louis, MO 63155. The United States Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315172767, citation number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on June 22, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 1720 Market St., St. Louis, MO 63155.
