Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) Hazards of cumulative trauma to the back, hands and arms caused by constant and excessive twisting, stretching and lifting action while the packers, operators and utility workers lifted, pulled and pushed product as it was being processed through the work stations. Feasible and acceptable methods of abatement include but are not limited to: a) Limiting arm reaches; b) Controlling working height; c) Rotate right left handed work stations; d) Administrative controls; e) Feasibility studies; f) Training and awareness; g) Job analysis
