29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: (a) In the Blue Line pre-loading area, between December 4, 2014 and May 7, 2015, the employer did not ensure that walkways leading to emergency exits were unobstructed, or obstructed only by materials within the control of an employee, resulting in an emergency evacuation hazard. (b) In the Rainbow Line pre-loading area, between December 4, 2014 and May 7, 2015, the employer did not ensure that walkways leading to emergency exits were unobstructed, or obstructed only by materials within the control of an employee, resulting in an emergency evacuation hazard. (c) In the Sort Area at the trailer platforms, between December 4, 2014 and May 7, 2015, the employer did not ensure that access ladders leading to emergency exits were unobstructed, or obstructed only by materials with the control of an employee, resulting in an emergency evacuation hazard. United Parcel Service, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard [1910.37(a)(3)], which was contained in OSHA inspection number 896766, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on February 27, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 493 County Avenue, Secaucus, NJ 07094. United Parcel Service, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard [1910.37(a)(3)], which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315141218, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on September 14, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 1045 University Avenue, Norwood, MA 02062.
