29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): The exit route is not kept free and unobstructed, and materials are placed within the exit route: a) Stockroom/Receiving Area The employer does not ensure that exit routes are not blocked with boxes of merchandise after deliveries. This was most recently observed on November 13, 2014 and again on April 8, 2015, when the exit route was blocked by boxes of merchandise that extended approximately 40 feet into the room from the exit doorway. The employers ongoing obligation is to ensure that all exit routes are free and unobstructed. The Dollar General Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 892646, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 6, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 921 East Douglas St., Prairie Grove, AR.
