Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: a) Rosengren Construction: On or about 8/28/90 and at times prior thereto employees were exposed to the hazard of falling while working on the roof approximately 30 feet above ground level. One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among others to correct the hazard is to provide appropriate personal protective equipment. Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) The hazard of being injured by falling loads attached to load lines of cranes in that on or about 7/3/90 and at times prior there to employees wee operating a Warner-Swasey crane, serial #146744 a 55-ton unit, that was not equipped with a anti-two blocking device on the auxiliary line. Among other methods one feasible and acceptable abatement method is to attach/install a anti-two blocking device on the auxiliary line.
