29 CFR 1910.268(b)(7): The employer did not ensure that no employee approached or took any conductive object closer to any electrically energized overhead power lines and parts than prescribed in Table R-2 or in (i) - (iii) of this section: The employer does not ensure that no employee approaches or takes any conductive object closer to any electrically energized overhead power line than prescribed in Table R-2 or in (i) - (ii) of this section. This violation occurred on or about October 15, 2014, near mile marker 211 on eastbound Interstate 30 in Hooks, Texas; where an employee working on a telecommunications line was electrocuted when the lashing wire the employee was handling came too close to a 12,400-volt overhead power line.
