Abstract: At 11:15 a.m. on October 5, 2017, Employee #1, employed by a construction company, was acting as the company foreman at a multiemployer construction project, a single family residential building. He and coworkers were installing sheathing over joists on the carport roof. As he prepared to lay a plywood sheet onto the joists, Employee #1 slipped and fell between two joists, a fall height of 11 feet. Emergency services were called, and Employee #1 was transported to the hospital. He was admitted and treated for a skull fracture, fractures to his nose and left wrist, and other head injuries.
