Abstract: At 10:30 a.m. on April 20, 2017, an employee was working in a grocery store specializing in latin food items. He was working in the meat department to assist customers in fulfilling meat orders. As the employee was using a meat band saw to cut a section of meat into smaller pieces. His middle finger on his right hand contacted the saw blade and his finger was amputated. The incident investigation revealed that appropriate guarding was not in place.
