Abstract: Two power line workers arrived at a worksite where a single-phase, 7600-volt overhead power line had been severed by a falling tree. Working from an aerial lift at a height of 30 feet above the ground, one of the two employees was raising the conductor so that it could be spliced. He touched an energized jumper while a metal tool he was holding was in contact with a neutral jumper, and he was electrocuted.
