Abstract: At 4:15 p.m. on July 21, 2017, an employee was working for a supermarket in San Jose, CA. He was using a band saw to cut lamb chops into stew meat. He sustained the partial amputation of the index finger on his left hand. There were no witnesses to the incident. The employee was taken to O'Connor Hospital, where he underwent surgery. The partial amputation of the first joint. This resulted in bone loss. The narrative did not indicate if a proximal or distal phalanx was the one referred to. The employee was hospitalized.
