Abstract: At approximately 1:35 p.m. on December 12, 2008, Employee #1 and a coworker were replacing wooden electrical transmission poles with steel transmission poles. The coworker placed a magnetic drill, Slugger, Model Number JM101, Serial Number 6232RM, on the steel pole to drill holes. Employee #1 was holding a rag with his right hand glove under the drill to capture the oil and metal shavings. Employee's #1's right hand glove and rag were entangled and pulled into the magnetic drill bit. Employee #1's right index finger was amputated to the first knuckle and he was hospitalized.
