Abstract: On August 24, 2006, Employee #1, a lath operator who occasionally helps a plastering crew, became ill approximately 3:45 p.m. The temperature at 2:00 p.m. was 96 degrees at 3:00 p.m. it was 99 degrees, and by 4:00 p.m. it was 100 degrees. The employer provided a 10 gallon and two 5 gallon jugs of water. There were also air conditioned vehicles available for use. Employee #1 was sent to the hospital for treatment and was released after two hours.
