Abstract: At approximately 7:20 a.m. on April 13, 2005, a carpenter working for McIntyre Framing Company, Inc., was working on a residential home construction project in Perris, California. The employee was up on the top plate of a single story house. While pulling the first truss, he lost his balance and fell 9 ft to the concrete floor. Paramedics responded and took the employee to the Riverside County Regional Medical Center, in Moreno Valley, for emergency medical care. He was admitted and hospitalized for two days. Medical reports indicated that he suffered a collapsed lung and fractured ribs.
