Abstract: At approximately 8:30 a.m. on September 30, 2001, Employee #1 hand cleaned a conveyor belt while it was running. Employee #1's hand came too close to the motorized roll and her right hand and arm was drawn into the in-going nip point where the conveyor belt meets the roll. The supervisor shut off the conveyor and Employee #1 extracted her arm. Employee #1 suffered a fractured arm and was hospitalized.
