Abstract: At 8:30 a.m. on January 24, 2001, Employee #1, a laborer employed by Durango Pipeline, Inc., sustained an amputation of the tip of the right thumb while cleaning the pivot pin of the lift arm of a front end loader at an equipment yard in Livermore, California.
