Abstract: On February 12, 2007, an employee sustained amputation injuries to the left index and left middle fingers after the battery-powered circular saw he had been using kicked back and struck him. The employee's index finger was surgically amputated to the first joint, and skin from the palm was grafted onto the middle finger to repair the damage. The employee was hospitalized.
