Abstract: On July 19, 2006, Employee #1 was working as a carpenter for a construction contractor. He was cutting a board, using a table saw that did not have a hood guarding the portion of the saw blade above the table. The board kicked back, and the ring finger on Employee #1's right hand came into contact with the saw blade. The finger was amputated. Employee #1 was not hospitalized.
