Abstract: On March 14, 2003, an employee of Production Framing Systems, Inc. was walking from one side of the home to the other on the bottom cords of the trusses to nail in blocking for drywall. The employee was using a pneumatic nail gun. When he reached the entryway of the home he slipped and fell 19 ft. The trusses were wet from a previous night's rainstorm. The employee called out to his coworkers for help, who did not see him fall. The site foreman was called to the accident scene to help with first aid. The employee complained of back pain and could not move. The Foreman called emergency medical services. The employee was transported to Sutter Roseville Hospital, where he was treated for fractured lower spinal cord.
