Abstract: On May 13, 2008, Employee #1 and Employee #2, both painters, were painting the exterior of a condominium complex using inadequate scaffolding. At the time of the accident, all three scaffolds were tagged with Orders Prohibiting Use (OPU). Employee #1 and Employee #2 were trying to reach an area beyond the scaffolding. They put a metal stepladder up on the scaffolding. One of them climbed the ladder and both of them then fell and received minor unspecified injuries requiring hospitalization for a few hours. Employee #1 was taken to Brokman Medical Center, and Employee #2 was taken to UCLA Medical Center.
