Abstract: At approximately 9:00 a.m. on September 30, 2005, an employee was working as a driver and operator, assigned to load scrap railroad railings unto a flat bed trailer. He loaded the last piece which was badly bent. As he was tying this piece with a steel chain, the piece came off the trailer and dropped on his right leg, breaking the tibia and fibula. He was transported by paramedics to Gardena Memorial Hospital. He had surgery the next day and was hospitalized until October 7.
