Abstract: On July 24, 2006, Employee #1 was working as a framer at a house under construction. He was securing metal fasteners on exterior plywood on the second-floor gable end of the house. He was standing on the roof joist nearest the gable end, and reaching through the truss web members to nail in the metal fasteners on the exterior of the house. He was injured when he leaned against a vertical member of the truss, it broke, and he fell approximately 20 ft to the ground. He was hospitalized for a fractured rib and possible internal injuries.
