Abstract: At 1:30 p.m. on September 30, 2002, Employee #1, a carpenter with 2 years of experience, reported to a construction site located at a school building in Valencia, CA. He told the foreman that he had finished installing trusses at a site in Palmdale, CA and that he was available to install trusses. The exterior walls of the school building had just been erected, and the foreman assigned him to a project.
