Abstract: On January 2, 1998, Employee #1, a painter for Avia Painting, had gone up on the roof to complete the painting of the fascia boards of a residence under construction. He lost his balance and fell over the edge of the sloped roof. He fell 14 feet. Emergency medical services were called, and Employee #1 was transported to Holy Cross Hospital for treatment. He sustained a fracture. Employee #1 stated that he had not worn fall protection.
