Abstract: At approximately 3:55 p.m. on March 4, 2002, Employee #1, the owner of ABBA Painting Co., was in a manlift. The manlift was leaking oil which caused the controls to be jerky. The lift came down in a jerky motion, hit the top of a lower roof, turned to the side, and caused Employee #1 to fall out of the lift approximately 25 feet. He was transported to the hospital with multiple broken body parts stayed for 9 days. Employee #1 was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the accident.
