Abstract: At approximately 10:45 a.m. on December 10, 1996, Employee #1, of Jaco Oil Company, Bakersfield, CA, was helping remodel a service station mini-mar. He was using a concrete cutting saw when the blade struck and then cut a gasoline line. Gasoline sprayed out, and the vapors flashed and ignited. Employee #1 sustained serious burns to the right side of his face, and to his right ear and hand. A coworker came to his aid and put out the fire. An ambulance was called, and Employee #1 was transported to Delano Hospital.
