Abstract: At approximately 10:30 a.m. on March 8, 2004, Employee #1, of Pacific Production Plumbing, was preparing isometric drawings inside a house under construction in San Marcos, CA, in preparation for installing gas lines. He had apparently gone out onto the roof when he fell 9 ft 6 in. to the ground. Employee #1 sustained shoulder and head injuries, including brain trauma. He was transported by Life Flight to Palomar Hospital, where he underwent surgery; he later went into a coma. Employee #1 was not using any form of fall protection.
