Abstract: On February 10, 2004, Employee #1, a construction laborer, was involved in removing concrete from a parking area to repave it, while utilizing a Bobcat type excavator. While Employee #1 reached for a piece of broken concrete, the Bobcat pushed it with the front scoop against a street curb. Employee #1's finger was caught between the concrete piece and the curb. This resulted in amputation of part of Employee #1's 5th finger on his right hand. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
