Abstract: At approximately 11:00 a.m. on June 28, 2000, Employee #1 was using a Skilsaw portable circular saw, model 77M, serial # HF-046954 to cut the end off floor joists. He was on the second level of the structure and working above his head when the saw kicked back, amputating his left thumb. The guard for the saw was reportedly in place and working properly at the time of the accident. No accident-related citations were issued.
