Abstract: At about 1:45 a.m. on March 10, 2000, Employee #1, a maintenance man, was critically injured when he was apparently run over by a tractor trailer in a parking lot at a border warehouse facility. As a coworker was exiting the warehouse office he saw the man lying in the parking lot and notified the office staff. Paramedics arrived within 5-7 minutes along with the local police department. Tire marks on the pavement indicated that Employee #1 had been run over by the rear wheels of a trailer. After learning the name of the rig previously parked in that area the police proceeded toward the border to question the driver. The truck had already crossed the border and entered Mexico but the officer proceeded to the warehouse where the truck was heading. Warehouse officials did not permit the police officer to enter their facility to continue his investigation. There were no eye witnesses to the accident. Last visual sighting of the man was that he was walking between unloading spots 5 and 6 into the parking lot. This route would have placed him in the vicinity of where his body was found. Police officer investigating the accident believes that the man was attempting to cross under the bed of a trailer at the time of the accident. County coroner also investigated Employee #1's death.
