Abstract: Employee #1, a structural metal worker, suffered a concussion when he fell from a ladder. He was hired to install steel beams in a tilt-up concrete building. Employee #1 was stepping down a ladder from a steel beam approximately 15 feet from the ground. While standing on the ladder, Employee #1 untied the ladder from the beam. As he was stepping down the ladder, he slipped and fell approximately 10 feet to the concrete floor. Employee #1 sustained a laceration to the occipital area of his skull with cervical strain and mild lumbosacral strain and a coccygeal fracture. He went to a local hospital for treatments. No witnesses observed the accident.
