Abstract: At approximately 3:40 p.m. on December 3, 1997, Employees #1 through #6 were engaged in constructing a one-story wood-frame building to house a new video warehouse. At the time of the accident, a subcontractor was installing and bracing the roof trusses. The six employees were standing on the trusses, installing top and lower lateral bracing, when the trusses collapsed. Employees #1 through #6 fell approximately 14 ft to the ground, with the trusses landing on top of them. They sustained injuries and were transported to Colquitt Regional Medical Center, where Employees #1, #2, #4, and #6 were admitted.
