Abstract: On March 12th, 2010, Employee #1 and Employee #2 of Cross Crete Concrete were applying coats of stain and sealant inside a building. At 7:00 p.m., Employees #1 and #2 were observed outside the building getting air, as the fumes were getting to be too much. At 9:11 p.m., Employee #3, the building vocational director, was called regarding two men down. He and Employee #4, the program director, arrived at the building at 9:14 p.m. They went inside and saw Employee #1 passed out on the floor. They opened one window and checked for a pulse, not finding a pulse. They saw Employee #2 passed out in the hall. They checked his pulse and he had one. They tried to get him out of the building, but were getting overcome by the fumes. At 9:24 p.m., the fire department was called, and they arrived at 9:40 p.m. Employee #1 was pronounced dead, Employee #2 was taken to the hospital and released two days later. Employee #3 and Employee #4 were taken to the hospital and released the following morning at 3:30 a.m.
