Abstract: On March 22, 2005, Employees #1 through #5 were working as exterior carpenters. They were erecting 82 wood trusses, each of them 1 ft wide. After the first 36 had been erected, the trusses fell in a domino fashion. All five employees were hospitalized for multiple injuries. The trusses' lateral support was inadequate, and there was no diagonal bracing in place.
