Abstract: On April 7, 2010, an employee was finishing the painting of the side of a three story building and was using a metal paint roller screwed into a 5 ft. plastic covered aluminum pole. The employee was painting while lying on top of the 14-in. high parapet wall that was covered with sheet metal flashing. The employee was less that 3 feet from a 12.5 kV energized high voltage line. The employee inadvertently touched the high voltage line and was electrocuted.
