Abstract: An employee was a grinder/polisher at a metal forge concern. The employee was conducting normal work activities when he dropped a metal part on his right foot. The employee did not seek medical attention at the time of the accident. The employee did have diabetes and this led to complications, resulting in amputation of the small toe on the right foot, approximately 2-3 weeks after the event. Employee stated that he did not feel that the matter required medical attention at the time of the accident.
