Abstract: Employee #1, a milling/saw operator at Roy Thomas Furniture, was dadoing or rabbeting a piece of wood for a drawer. He was operating a Powermatic panel B table saw, model 66, serial #266236, company #2. A witness said that the table saw kicked back at the end of the process and Employee #1's left hand was pulled into the blade. His left index finger was partially amputated to approximately 2/3 of the fingernail. The witness had observed Employee #1 eating greasy food at lunch and then operating the saw without washing his hands.
