Abstract: Employee #1 was using a homemade, makeshift scaffold to install siding on the gable end of a house. He was standing atop the platform composed of 2 by 6 planks when it broke and he fell 13 ft to the ground. Employee #1 was hospitalized with a broken neck. The platform planks were knotted and had other defects.
